Ebates has a list of over 1,000 popular online stores, and for each purchase you make, you get cash back, depending on the percent cash back each site allows. Let me make this clear: you are getting cash back (i.e. getting paid) to buy things you would normally buy online, only instead of going to the store’s website, you go to Ebates first, then click on the store of your choice. Every 3 months, Ebates will send you a check for the amount of money you have acrued in cash back savings!

I have been using this site for about 2 years, and it is very reliable. Next to each merchant listed, Ebates will also inform you of special sales, free shipping offers and coupon codes to help you save even more money! Also, you get free cash for recommending the site to friends! There are also many promotional offers that can be quite rewarding. I’ve earned gift certificates and free money just for buying things I normally would online.

I would highly recommend this site for college students wanting to order textbooks online. Ebates has a list of many book retailers, and many have a high percent cash back.
